Stardust
Saw Stardust with a friend.
And she was so enchanted, delighted , impressed with the movie that I have to ask myself - did I miss/overslept something? Because, yesterday, I was wide awake. Now I'm sorry I didn't read a book first, but will do soon enough. Robert Re Niro, when I read that he play a self-ironizing role, this was not what came to my mind, and he was hilarious Michelle Pfeifer - well, I already saw her as a witch, and she was a sister there too. Claire Danes - since she played a dutifully daughter in The Hours, for me, this girl just rocks! Charlie Cox - WTF, Charlie who? but, to not go unnoticed - the transformation throughout the movie is very obvious and well done (make-up artists and stylist... whatever did a good job making him believable) ooh, and the Pirate (Dexter Fletcher) looked very, very good, nice blue eyes...
Saw The Bourne Ultimatum(2007) yesterday. Mum(Pamela Landy) and dad(Noah Vosen) are fighting. Mum betrays dad and backs up the son(Jason Bourne).
Dad is very, very angry.
The son prevails.
I have to say David Strathairn and Joan Allen played out each other nicely!

Manderlay
saw Manderlay yesterday
I must say the word disappointment doesn`t cover it
enough
and I am surprised, because after Dogville one have
certain expectations and frankly those have fallen short
it reminded me of a movie The Believer in some
strange way
and what bothered me the most was the way theirs (writers/directors) message
was put out
or maybe I just have to wait a while so that the movie can
settle down a little bit
okay, enough rambling for now
and now I am going to imbd and read message boards and
see what they think of the movie
and I`ve read The PowerBook by Jeanette Winterson - small waste of my time
